The Molecular Macarena: Coordinating Your Body’s Movements

Date: Wednesday, May 29, 2019 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Yale Science Diplomats present the fifth and final Science in the News talk for this season: “The Molecular Macarena: Coordinating Your Body’s Movements.” You’ve probably heard of proteins and that you should consume them in your food. But did you know we need them to perform nearly every task in your body? Proteins are highly diverse molecules that shimmy, shake, and find partners for their tightly coordinated dance in biology. Join us to learn how missteps in this “molecular macarena” lead to common diseases of the brain, like Alzheimer’s and depression. Talks are open and free to the public!
